Plum tastic.........

While out working on one of my clients property she wanted me to remove to large plum trees. She didn't like the mess and wanted to plant something else in their spot. Not wanting to just cut down some perfectly good plum trees I opted to try and take them out whole. This was quiet a job being they were planted about 7years ago but with the assistance of sister #4 husband they were soon removed and loaded.

With no ideal spot in daddy Dave's own yard(due to future projects/ideas) the Marshall's had a spot at their homestead. Not wanting to separate the two trees(pollination) they were transplanted into the Marshall's landscape. After digging several large holes, adding a little soil and tying them off they were ready for a good soaking. Her helper Malia is pictured with uncle Nate, she was crying it was nap time. Only time will tell if the trees will survive the move, but it didn't hurt to try.

Trickster Dave.......

On occasion daddy Dave will whip up a surprise meal without the help of momma. How it works is he doesn't let momma mandy in the kitchen at all but occasional with drop a couple subtle hints wether it's an ingredient or what kitchen appliance I'm using. For an example while preparing this lunch daddy Dave would say "mandy where are the black beans, and where's the blender at?", this gives her an idea that I'm using black beans as an ingredient, and a blender, and I cook while momma tries to wrap her mind around the clues. All she has to guess is the sounds, smells and subtle hints. In this meal, was a Mexican pizza made with black beans, cheeses, tortillas, tomatoes and onions. But with theses simple ingredients momma mandy would probably guess so I include some random ingredients but all of which I have to use. For example during this meal I asked mandy "where's the peanut butter? And "what happened to those marshmallows? This is sure to throw her off, here's a pic of the final delicate dish. As you can see peanut butter and marshmallows were used.

All aboard........

Well this morning it was all aboard the Anderson train with conductor Malia at the controls, she decided to sit at the back of the train but in with her in control who's nit picking.

Soon momma was traded for daddy Dave .......

After mom and dad bailed some of her favorite stuffed animals soon took their places.

After the train was dismantled a fort was soon erected in its place.

Strapped.........

No our bushes aren't carrying heat(guns) although they needed to be strapped. With all the recent rain and spring time growth the bushes edging our yard were a little top heavy and couldn't stand on their own.

So daddy Dave went out with some string and screws to help give them a little support.

A couple bushes on the side also needed some attention. This is not a permanent thing only until the main branches can get a little stronger and stand on their own.

First camping trip.........

For shame daddy Dave, you mean to tell me that this is your girls first camping trip? I mean you are pack master Dave, Sir Eagle Scout , Mr outdoors, survival D, fire starting master, s'more making king, king of the fire pit, tent maniac, hot dog roasting fool, the list of nicknames goes on and on( many of which I have given myself). But still this is your daughters first camping trip I guess there is some explaining to do. Well let me explain without the fourth degree, Ya see as life has thrown me to lovely young ladies and I mean young(3years Malia and a 9 months, Ella) and the younger they are the more stuff you have to pack and the more attention they need. And this makes camping kind of hard among other things, but the time had come to suck it up, pack up the truck and head to a nearby camp ground. Some of the family was getting together and setting up camp for a day so we joined them nothing like spending time with family and s'mores.

The camp ground we went to had lake access so we took the girls too play in the sand

Malia found some beach toys and enjoyed the sun and made some friends.

Pic of people chillin around the fire pit.

As the s'mores settle in and darkness fell, relaxing was on everyone's mind, even Mr poops aka Barkley.
