Daddy Dave has a saying when it comes to the rental business "expect the worst and when you open the door hope for the best" . The time has come for daddy Dave and momma Mandy's first rental turn around. It seems that one of our tenets (of three years) decided to stop paying rent and after a few failed apptempts to collect it was time to stop playing games and start the paper work. daddy Dave needed know what he was up against so a 24hr notice was given and on the 24th hour the door was opened......
It was a mess......... trash was littered about like we were at the land fill, roaches ran for their life umong the scattered debrie. That was just the first bedroom..........the other two were more of the same
The hallway had piles of cloths heaped up like mount Everest blocking easy access and of which had to be scaled to get past......
As the quest continued further into the cave with flash light in hand (no electricty) a bad smell started to become present and then the kitchen was reveled........piles and piles and piles of trash and food left out rotting becoming a feast for the now infested property. A dinning room table visably beneath the mass of crawling critters and dinner left overs. It was set as if a grand thanksgiving feast had been prepared and no one came leaving the food to decay.
And then there was the fridge(our fridge)...................with no electricty the usually cool interior was now home to maggots, roaches and decay. the smell was as one might imagine, I had found out earlier that the water had been shut off on this property during the mouth of November..............!!!!! And I won't even talk about the stove(our stove) it may not even be salvageable even if we wanted it too. All daddy Dave and momma Mandy can do is sit back and wait for the abondannd property notice to time out (10days) and then well be up to our elbows in rubber gloves and our faces buried in masks. With no water since November how would one use the bathroom?.................more on this later, stay tunned.
