Onward laundry......

 

With yet another trip to habitat cabinets are purchased for the laundry renovation continuam.

Here they are awaiting to be measured and assigned a spot......

Laundry continued......

Here is the current condition of our laundry room door soon to be changed curtesy of a recent trip to habitat.......here the door opens into the living room often obstructing the view.

Here is the new/used door installed in all its glory......still some touch up work needed but it's fully functional. We used an full glass exterior door to aid as a sound barrier, the washer and dryer can get a bit rowdy.

Daddy Dave rebuilt the door frame allowing the door to swing inwardly.........here my lovely daughter gives you a demonstration.

Laundry room....

 

Work on the laundry room must go on...........here the laundry room is emptied and the floor is to be prepped for hardwood.

First the concrete was treated with a water proofing.....

Then a second moisture/adhesive/sound barrier was applied and the wood installed....

After the proper dry time, the floor imperfections were filled......

Than the floor was sanded........

And the first coat of top coat was applied...........to be continued

Keep out!.......

 

While walking down the hallway the other night some freshly posted signs came to daddy Dave's attention .......

Most of them I think are in code, but you can make out one that says "plees noc " ( please knock). This is not my girls best spelling but based off this it looks like she doesn't fall far from the ol tree(daddy Dave is a terrible speller)

Valentines Eve ......

 

 

Daddy Dave went ahead and picked up some flowers for his girls, and put them in some water. Girls wereallowed to put their flowers in their room so they placed them on the dresser, daddy Dave thought thismade a good pic being placed near an older pic of the two. Daddy Dave just loves his girls.

 

Malia and Ella help daddy make some strawberry short cake, here they are enjoying it and being silly.

Rental done....

This rental property has been done for about 3 months but I thought I'd post a couple before and after pics.

This was the first property, it had the same tenets for about 5 years so it was in need of a freshing up, not to mention the holes in the walls or kicked in doors, but so goes the life of a landlord.

In the rearview .......

 

Not much can be seen in daddy Dave's rearview mirror lately being it has fallen off the windshield with a chunk of the glass with it. This mirror does come in handy while driving especially while pulling trailers.

 

Daddy Dave was afraid if he tried to reattach the missing glass chip and reattach the mirror it may fall off again and crack the windshield the next time, so he opted to attach the mirror to a overhead display.

This seems to have done the trick this time, all is functioning properly. Did you notice the scrap metal pile while looking through the windshield(another job for another day)
