o yeah.......

 yeah........ at one time i was straigtening out the garage. i had built some shelfing on the back wall to help keep the man cave in order. well i kind of got a little side tracked and started another project(one of my bad habits). but back to work, which means im stopping in the middle of some other project to come back to this, man the cycle never ends. one thing i never did was to finish putting shelf's on it, so it was all dangerously stacked and not practical(well maybe not so dangerous but very unpractical). well for starters i didn't have any plywood and didn't want to go buy any, it can get costly. but my every so gracious neighbor gave me some old tables(there past use is not open for discussion because of the legality of it), but they were just enough to do the trick. in the above pick the tables had been disassembled/parted out.

after some cutting nailing and sweating the new-used, shelf's were installed. another free 99 project completed. recycle-reuse-enjoy.

stuck.......

while trying to keep Malia from  climbing atop the chairs i pushed them under the table . did this stop Malia? why no, she still climbed atop the chair but then got sort of stuck. she just made herself vocal in order to get the help she needed, but i still snapped a quick pic before baling her out.

new problem.........

smoking like a chimney............

while out just tooling around looking at houses we looked at this one it was a very old house with all the old house charm, but all of the old house work to go with it. looks as if someone or something was smoking like a chimney in this house my guess would be a kerosene heater but your guess would be as good as any. did you notice the newly installed fire detectors, bet those weren't there before.

i think every wall was a different color not to mention very room had a different smell. it was like a scratch and sniff sort of house.

other uses for an infant tub.........

the other evening Malia managed to dig out her old infant bath tub and pushed/pulled it into the living room, climbed in and began to watch television........hmmmm i guess its her sort of recliner. notice how she is cleaning her toes, must be something she picked up watching one of her parents do after a hard day at work in which ones shoes and socks are discarded.

 while we were over hanging out at  sister#4 house Malia was down and about snacking and such on the floor. don't look up Malia, hope brother Joel is not free balling(has on underpants).

rocking the block................

 the other evening me the old lady, Malia and sister #4 took a walk downtown for the last summer block party. we enjoyed an assortment of music played by a cover band called superglide. here's Malia hitting the bottle at the down town event, she was getting started early.

from the inside out..........

 well it seems i had a couple of carburetors not operating properly so i had to take them apart and clean them. they both had bad gas in them and once gas sits it can turn into  a sticky matter clogging up the carb. in this above pic you can see the build up actual falling off the float and sitting on the deck, they both were pretty gummed up.

on this other carburetor it was a similar situation bad gas= bad news. this is the mower of sister #4 so i needed to get it up and running so they could cut some grass. i found grass doesn't procrastinate like myself, it keeps on growing. a quick trick for all those motor savoy individuals out there. if ya take a cap full of injector cleaner and mix it with the gas, it will also help with the cleaning of the carb. but remember just a cap, to much may have you buying a new engine.(not responsible for over usage of fuel injector fluid).

bird feeder 2....................

 well here it sits up on top of the corner fence post, painted brightly so all birds can see. i got this old bird feeder from my neighbor it was given to him by another neighbor and then to me. of course it didn't always look like this. it was dried out ceder and on its last legs.

after a little refurbishing and many coats of oil based paint here it sits, open for business.

 well the other day with all the recent rain i decided that it would be a good time to burn the ol yard debris/scrap pile. here's a pic of Malia assessing the situation.

took no time at all before her natural firefighter instinct took over(or her just wanting to spray the water). this is actual the first time she has operated the hose successfully(squeezed the handle) look out momma Mandy, Malia might just hose you down too,cause your hot.. hot...hot ...;)

yep shes up for business............

 well me and the ladies just finished up our latest project, shes up and running waiting for that perfect renter/family. here's a couple pics of the interior, this pic is of the kitchen which is rather large with plenty of storage, and clean

 a pic of the vanity in one of the two full baths, the whole house is in good shape and clean to boot.

and a pic of the living room, you can see the signs in the window. next thing to do is to make up an internet ad, then sit by the phone and wait. on too the next project, but the ol lady would like to take a couple weeks off, i guess ill let her twist my arm.

hmmmm i wonder what happens when i pull this string........... well as you can see Malia is hanging on by a thread. this is an old rug and sometimes loose ends seem to come undone, sometimes while mother Mandy is vacuuming  the vacuum will catch a strand and rip it out(Mandy is not fond of this rug), but it still keeps the bottoms of your feet warm in the colder seasons. you can see some strands missing the result of past aggravations.
