thought this was interesting these are some palindromes- words or phrase that reads the same backwards as it does forward. i think some of these phrases would make a great t-shirt.

 couldn't have a post with out a pic. the question is will they make it or will they  break it. i had started the plants during the fall, they are very hardy plants but it does help if ya water them. so I'm trying to nurse them back to health. only time will tell.

boat block jinga..........

this is not the professional way to lift a boat but it had to be done. that ol cimarron was sitting on the ground with the front angled downward, this did not allow the rain water to drain. with all the recent rain it was destined soon to be a mosquito nesting ground or a water park for blood sucking insects. the jack being positioned this way was very unstable and did actual fall a couple times, but those blue foam blocks kept it from damage. recycle Dave just wanted to point out that the blocks on the back of boat were actual fireplace inserts, taken out of the house during bathroom reno.

here's a old pic i found while looking through some old pics. this pic was taken after running The Bear, a five mile all up hill run, to the top of grandfather mountain. here we are sporting some medals and throwing up some gang graffiti. man those are some white azz crackers! those in the pic wish to remain unidentified(left to right scholar brother, sister #4, Friend from Boone- Luke dog, and me). enlarge pic for the full effect.

no pressure..........

well this little dandy tool has plenty of pressure, here is a quick pic of sister #4 helping out at the rental with a little pressure washing. you can see the dirt coming off the house.

well me and brother in law #4 stayed out at the rental till about 2am, trying to finish up some things, painting, trim, doors, and carpet stretching the list goes on. we went with an off white paint to add some contrast, it ties in pretty well.

while working in the diverse area that we were in, as late as we were there, we had no visitors except one lonely crack head who actually came back twice........for friendly conversation(which was one sided because he was talking so fast and non stop. some topics of conversation consisted of..... getting 5 dollars, needles, hospitals, his preacher drinking and the male genital region all which some how were all related) and a light.

here's just a quick pic of Malia feeding herself. if you enlarge pic you can see food on her head, face, and all over the dang place. shes starting to get a hand on things though.

 while building the "Garage Rack 2000"system , i came across your friendly local birds nests. as i was working i heard a bird behind me and i looked up to see a small brown bird fly into the top of the insulation pile, soon after i heard  chirping which sounded like hungry little chirps to me(baby's?). man o man i hope they make it or it might create quiet a stink. i was wondering where the bird feces was coming from, not even safe inside the garage. still not to sure on how they got in, besides when the doors are open.

then while removing the stove pipe yet another birds nest was exposed but this one was not in use at the time. soon after capping the the pipe i heard birds fluttering inside, no doubt rebuilding a new nest. spring has sprung... no stopping that.

reno continued....

the rehab continues, i had brother in law #4 come by and lend a helping hand, finishing up some of the odd and ends around the rental. this pic is of the bathroom hardware installed, just some painting and caulking left here.

kitchen coming along nicely too, the  appliances taking there places, trim down, just some fresh paint, and a couple things left here 2 do. got a good buddy coming to clean carpets, a little pressure washing outside and watch out open house, here we come.

garage rack 2000......

can you spot Malia? she was helping out in the garage the other day, overseeing dads operation making sure there was no slacking on the job. the building of the  "Garage Rack 2000" this is the newest and best garage rack on the market, hands down , no questions judge for your self below.

well heres the finished project feast your eyes on the "Garage Rack 2000".  i was building some shelfving to organize all the rental house stuff/crap. the shelving was all built from recycled materials 2x4's, nails and all(free 99- picked up from a bank reno). still have to put down some shelving material on a couple of the shelf's, but the bones are up and it seems to be functioning. the rack is attached to the rafters but was designed to be moved if the desire emerges. hey you might say (if you scrutinized the pic), how are you going too heat the ol garage without the stove pipe being hooked up? well good question, if you could zoom in closer you would see that the upper shelving is screwed together making the removal of the shelf possible, then insert stove pipe and walla, toasty mosty. the "Garage Rack 2000" is now on back order sorry for the inconvenience.

not a paint by #'s......................

 yeah knocking out the rental, did a little drywall sanding and painting. here's just a couple before and after pics. still got plenty left to do.

harmonica playing baby?........

is that baby playing a harmonica......... nope she enjoying a Florida grown orange. shes still learning  which side to bite, but from the looks of things it wont take long.

fire hazard one o one..................

well last night after Davy doo had gotten off work and had just gotten back from a night jog. his wife informed him she thought she blew a fuse,  by starting the vacuum. after inspecting the fuse box and breaker box he found no thrown switch or blown fuse. so why was the power out on half of the floor outlets? well after mulling it over in his tired head, and thinking of calling his trusty ol pop's(it was too late) to get his opinion. he pulled out the outlet that wife had plugged into, no luck. still racking his now strained stressed brain, he went into the master bedroom and one of the outlets caught his eye. the plug which had been plugged in had a light brown tint to it? after pulling out the outlet he at last discovered the problem

the wire that was suppose to be attached was not in fact, it had some how broken. the outlet was toasted and the wire was a little crispy too. the wire was arking(a big no no, fire hazard one o one) well with no extra outlet on had ol Davey used some wiring nuts and surpassed the outlet therefore allowing the current to continue and all the outlets came on. next stop that home improvement store for a gfi  outlet or two. i thank god for no house fire, it was defiantly on the horizon.

craigs list is the devil.......................

whats up with the new/old cimarron, whys it just laying on the cold wet ground? has it been abandoned?
what happened to the trailer that it was every so proudly perched upon? is the Anderson's yard turning into a boat graveyard?.............no ......well ya see............. i was on the ol Craig's list and i was cruising for a motor to power the ol cimarron, and i stumbled across a deal too good to pass up. i had to use the boat trailer the cimarron was sitting atop so after a struggle of jacking and stacking and failing at both i just ever so gently slid it off on the ground(no hard feelings)

and here she is the new project, add it to the list Dave(rental still on top). i first must thank my wife for letting me (that's right we know how it works) letting me pick this beautie up, so in honor of my understanding wife her(the boat) shall be named Amanda(Mandy's legal name). it was dirt cheap, and everything is suppose to work the only thing it needs is seats, and a little love, fingers crossed we might be skimming the waves at topsail. its a k-craft needle nose, the motor on back is a 4cyclinder evenrude, 115sea horses , damn I'm gonna have to take it slow.

me and the old lady went out to the rental 2 cut the grass and daddy did some quick work inside, trying to get the ball rolling hope to have it listed by next month, putting it on the fast track(momma Mandy cracking that whip). just a couple pics of the rental after a hair cut, nothing too exciting.

been working on the fence here at the homestead actual finished it up on Malia's bday. happy birthday girl its my gift to you, it'll keep you out of the street and under momma watchful eye. i might have a hard time wrapping it though. here's a pic of the top and bottom supports going in.

malias birth-day awakening...........

Malia's birth-day awakening she doesn't look too excited, but she hasn't heard the song before either. this time last year we were in the process of becoming  proud parents of beautiful little Malia. may God bless us with many more wonderful years and possible siblings.

gate framing...........

just a quick pic of the framing up of the gates, two down 1 more 2 go. yeah its a pic at night, ya see that's the time i have to do things that don't involve my sweet little ladies. when Malia goes to bed for the evening i just put the baby monitor in the window and get to work, it wont build itself. this gate frame was done Fri night

 this gate frame done sat morn before work. one last to do on the side of house, then time to hang pickets.

cheap gas.............

beans, beans the musical fruit the more ya eat the more ya toot, the more ya toot the better ya fill, so eat your beans with every meal. this is a pic of Malia's first encounter with pinto beans, she mainly liked playing with them and mushing them up, some did manage to make it to her mouth and Barkley enjoyed the rest. o yeah and its meat time, veggie head no more as of Saturday, Friday was the last day, thank goodness.

working in the garden.........

here's a quick pic of momma Mandy working in the garden. this  pic is taken looking through a rosemary plant. she's a planting cabbage and potatoes. she has already planted an assortment of garden items which are in starter containers. i hope shes a handy dandy green thumb Mandy:)

yeah, yeah, yeah ,another project i guess I'm a project junkie. but what about your other projects Dave, well ya see its slow going at the rental because its kinda hard to get there regularly with the baby, but this project  is at the home stead where i can just step outside and work while baby girl naps or joins me. here is a pic of Malia give her ol pops a hand with the tape measure. we've decided to fence in the back mid section of the yard as to give Malia a little space to play without having to worry about her getting in the street.

here is the post are set and leveled in quickcrete, drying in the sun. the hard part is done they say, will shall see.

portaburger............

just a quick pick of one  meat free dinner. here you see a portabella hamburger, consisting of avocado, tomato, onion, fakeon(fake bacon), cheese, lettuce and you favorite condiments. the portabella was cooked on the grill, for added grill marks. topped with an onion bun and a generous helping of potato salad on the side.

id rather eat toe jam...............

meat free for week three......what is going on here? me and the old lady decided to push for week three meat free, but that's about all of it i can take. here is what my last lunch consisted of toe jam, peanut butter and milk, wheres the beef?
