Lawn mower improvements.........

 

 

The other day while loading up the trailer to do some mowing on some clients yards before the triple diget heat arrived. I notice an improvement of which I neede to make to one of my mowers. Pic above is a pic of the handel bars, see they have a gip attached to the bar but the actual bar doesn't extend all the way to the end of the grip. This makes man handling the mower hard because you can feel the grips are not strongly supported, I actual broke one so time to address this issue.

Here a pic of the exposed Handel bars, I would have just removed the grips but the handle was not long enough to make munuvering easy, unless I had baby hands.

 

I simply took some extra tubing I had lying around(actual tubing from sister #4's discarded umbrella from last years beach trip...free$.99), cut to the right length with help from a sawsall. drilled a extra hole to aid in the securing of the added tubing and added another screw.

last of all I took some electric tape and wrapped the new tubing, this did the trick making it an easy adjustment, making it much stronger.

Freckle fiasco...........

 

Here we have a pic of Malia genorasly donating her collection of Toy Story stickers to "The Cover Freckle Foundation" , also know as TCFF. Here Malia is placing the stickers in a puzzle fashion in an effort to cover the visible freckles on momma Mandy's face. Little does Malia know that she may soon develop theses little angle kisses also, and if momma mandy didn't know these small tan spots grouped upon her face was one of the factors in her spouses attraction to her. Freckle juice nor Toy Story stickers can hide or get rid of these freckles but that's the way daddy Dave would have it anyway.

 

Sand creations.......

 

Heres a couple sand creations that were built while at the beach, here we have a sand foot toe nails included.

Potty training.....

 

Here we have a pic of Malia during one of her potty training sessions. She has treats and good reading both which are crucial to a successful potty break. She has been doing ok with a couple of excited phone calls placed to daddy Dave at work.

First day on beach......

 

Here's a pic of Malias first day on the beach, it was a.Little cool the first day but was very nice. malia loved the ocean with all the crashing waves and sea shells at her disposal.

To be a weenie or not...........

 

With a up coming beach trip on the horizon, the room and board looked like it would be a little tight. With some of the partakers of the trip offered to camp out a couple nights to ease the congestion. Nothing's worse than being unbearably hot while your trying to sleep so to make the stay in the tent a little more comfortable for the tentets get it tent...ets.......cause there in a tent haha. Anyways I decided to hook up an air conditioner to the tent. This was easier than expected being there was a flap on the back of the tent. I set up the senerio at home to work out all the bugs before the beach trip.

Malia is pictured here cool as a cucumber with the remote. This did work but because the nights were mild and this weenie didn't have to stay in the tent the air conditioner was not used.

Concrete prints..........

 

With a upcoming 50th wedding anniversary(momma Mandy's grandparents) we wanted to make a little gift. With her grandmother being a big gardener we decided to make a custom set of stepping stones. Here Malia is pictured with some plastic rings cut from a flower pot.

here daddy Dave is mixing up some concrete

after the concrete is poured into the molds the next step was to get those Malia impressions. She did not mind this in fact she had to be told to stop messing with the concrete. After some colorful glass rocks are pressed in the wet crete it was set in the sun to dry.

After the concrete impressions dried and the plastic molds removed daddy Dave then took off the rough edges with a concrete saw.

 

Being that the party was a few days away and the stones had been left outside during a passing shower they needed to be completely dried in order to paint. The above pic is not.... I repeat NOT ....a pic of momma Mandy's baking, but Malias concrete impressions.

After a little paint and polishing the impression stones were ready for delivery.

Snake handler...........

While on our trip in Ohio Malia was introduced to mr snake, by Marry's son Christopher. She kept saying " hold it, hold it"

And just a quick pic of Malias first jumping on a trampoline.

Barkley pillow?.........

While we were up in Ohio at Marry's and Chris bed and breakfast we saw the biggest pillow ever. This bean bag was actually half the size. It is one pillow of two which both combined to make one hugemongus bean bag I mean super massive. Here Malia is romping around before bed time.

Pool time?.......

While on our trip in Ohio we took up rest at a nice bed and breakfast(Malias grandpa and significant others Marry's home). While we made ourselfs at home Malia served the surrounding grounds, many new activities to enjoy let's see there was a trampoline, a fish pond and of course a pool. Here malia is taking a look at he pool with ole gramps trying to decide the best point of entry.

Final she made it to the pool although it was a little cool she still enjoyed hanging out in a raft.....

Got mud

 

We're there's water and dirt theres mud, and we're there's mud there is Malia. After daddy Dave watered some outside plants Malia made a mess out of things. here pic above she is dropping a rock into the water creating a splash.......next operation clean up Malia...... before momma mandy gets home.

Move in time.....

 

Here Malia Test out her bed in her new room.......that's right she's moved down the hallway to the third door down. Her first night was last night and it was a success. Just a couple last few items to be completed some decorating arranging and the like.

Better here than there(beach)..........

 

Ol dady Dave loves his big truck but with big trucks comes bigger problems and bigger out of pocket expenses. Here we have a pic of what appears to be a leak.......hmmmmm. Some might say don't jump to conclusions its probably your air conditioner(fingers crossed). But to my dismay it was a leaking radiator.....for the record crossing your fingers doesn't work.

See the problem with new radiators is they have a plastic side tank, this makes it none repairable and you have to by a new one if yours craps out on you. This is no small radiator........by any means and A big radiator means big bucks. Of course daddy Dave is a "do it your selfer" and has taken on this project with both hands. After a special order of the radiator he comes to find out the hose attachments are the wrong size......Of course this is after the new one is already installed.......and so the project continues.......

Butterfly bonanza......

 

What is daddy Dave so intently doing? Well it seems that momma mandy has had a great idea on a way to decorate miss Malias bedroom, which she saw on her fav online site "pintrest".

Daddy Dave is cutting out Butterfly stencils and a couple dragon flies. With a steady handy and a sharp blade this job was tetius but was was finished up in no time.

Here we have the stencils cut and ready to go, now the hand off to momma mandy and she takes over.

since we had a few sample sizes of purple left over from choosing Malias room color these colors were used for the insects.
