Unhooked.....

 

The other day daddy Dave was driving out to work on a couple clients landscapes, while driving there was a loud boom and a dragging sound. After a quick look in the review mirror to was obvious my trailer had fallen off the truck!!! After pulling off onto the side of the road the situation was accessed.

Daddy Dave is still not sure what exactly happened or didn't happen but it's obvious that it wasn't hooked up right. After a few well placed jacks and blocks the trailer was rehooked and daddy Dave was back in business. The pin type lock which locks the hitch into place had snapped in half? I guess the hitch had not seated fully on the ball before it was locked and during the trip down the steep driveway it came off the ball and while in motion the trailer fell off the bumper. Tisk amateurs......... I'm glad those safty chains were in place and worked or it could have been pretty bad.

Rental woes.........

 

The other day daddy Dave got an urgent text from a tenant about bugs swarming inside the house, they sent me a couple pics and said they were everywhere coming from behind the walls etc. they said they would spray them and they would keep coming ......hundreds. Daddy Dave being at work placed a call to a local exterminator to come out and acces the situation.

After a call back from the exterminator it was conformed........termites.........dang it. It seems at around this time of year a termite nest will swarm and send out tons of explorers to find new spots to inhabit. So it seems that our house has a nest and when it sent out its explorers they infested the interior of the house. Well looking at the bright side I now can get the issue addressed before too much damage occurs, so a total home treatment is schudualled and on the books. Just a tip to get rid of the explorers no need to spray raid you can simply spray water to get rid of them.

Sssssssssss.......

 

While working out in the yard daddy Dave spotted this sweet black snake out sunning himself, daddy Dave thought the girls would like to touch him so he grabbed it and held it for the ladies to touch. Malia stayed her distance but Ella was not at all intimidated.

Daddy Dave did get bit in the process(blood on hand) but Ella enjoyed touching it. I guess that's why they say let sleeping snakes lie.

Here the snake enjoys its re found freedom.

Daddy dave bought a new-used peice of equipment to expand his lawn maintance fleet, but this unit was purchased with a pre existing problem which needed to be addressed.

The left side wheel motor was leaking hydraulic fluid, this needed to be fixed ASAP to prevent further costly problems. You can see the fluid on the inside of the tire.

A new wheel motor was purchased(ouch)....

The removal of the old motor went smooth with the help of this hydraulic hub puller.....

And now we can see the cause of the leak a failed seal, daddy dave has plans to rebuild this wheel motor as to have one on hand if this problem occurs in the future, and the install of the new was easy as pie.

Dress up.....

 

Malia and her sister often like to dress up mr poops, here malia has begun to dress him up, he seams to be looking at me as if begging for me to save him.......come on man!!! He seems to plead with his eyes.
