Just a quick congratulations to daddy Dave's sister #5 and her hubby on baby #2 Isabel. What a cutie pie hope she's as sweet as she looks. Born on 10/17/13 welcome to this crazy world Isabel.

Cabinet repair........

 

The bathroom cabinets were in need of repair or replacement but trying to do things the cost effective way daddy Dave repaired them. Reinforcing the partical board with 2x4's and a new front door panel. Now a coat of paint and they'll look like new.

 

For this cabinet cluster daddy Dave opted to make his own cabinet counter top. First a cut peice of plywood was secured then some 1"1/2 trim was added along the edges to hide the edges.

A close up of the trim, now all the cabniets are in need of a good cleaning and wipe downward and paint. A couple coats of paint being cockroach poop tends to soak through.

Roof repairs.........

 

Here we had a leak in the kitchen on the latest project. After pulling back some of the shingles the reason was evident.

This vent was not even functional so there was no need to leave it. First a old section of the roofing was removed.

The new section put in place and secured....

Then tar papered......

And then shingled.....

 

Here's a pic of the roof you can see the repaired sections, the smaller one was from relocating a drain line vent from a laundry room Reno. While daddy Dave was up on the roof top clickity click, he put new rubber boots on all the exhaust vents and re- gooped with roofing cement. Come rain or shine any tenants should be dry as an eyelash on a hump back camel in the Serra desert at noon during a sand storm on the forth of July.

Squimish look away.......

 

While out working on the rental daddy Dave was working with an air gun, he was shooting some framing nails When there was a jam. The smart thing to do would be to disconnect the air gun and clear the jam but o no not daddy Dave. He just pulled back the safety and fired the gun to clear the blockage wrong move. Because there was a blockage the nail in question was not squarely in the barrel and when the trigger was pressed without the safety in play this caused the nail to go right through daddy Dave's finger. Damn that hurt, after pulling out the nail, sucking out the dirt and wrapping the wound it was back to work(I can't have my pops out tough me but more on that later).

Now back to the whole pops out tough me thing. Daddy Dave's Dad was doing some Paul Bunyan moves out cutting down some timber when he had a misshap with one of his devices leaving his hand in rough shape and of course being tough Grandpa Anderson he finished the task at HAND. Now many of you which take a gander at his blog would have seen his hand bandaged.........but did you see it exposed.......

 

Reminds me of hamburger meat............I'm about to pass out just looking at it.

Need a comb?........

 

While out working on my latest project i was doing a bathroom Reno ........

 

 

As I unhooked the vanity and pulled it out from the wall. I discovered a pile of combs, it seems that there was a space between the wall and the vanity which became the bramuda triangle of combs.

 

 

Free combs....hair.picks .......also some toothpaste caps and q-tips, if ya see one you like it's yours.
