Dogs...

As some of you know, we have a Lab named Barkley. He is now just over a year old, and getting big. Well, more medium size i guess. Anyway. I uploaded some photos from us doing work on our house and I came across these photos of him as a baby. Hes just so cute I couldnt resist.
In this picture, we were doing some painting in the house, so my hubby put some painters tape on him. I just cant believe how little he used to be.

Now hes grown up, and loosing his puppy face.
Hes a good dog. He always makes me laugh.
Above his paw in the picture to the left, you can see his prised possession, the ball...some of you know once you start him fetching, he doesnt stop.

i tried!

Well, I tried to post a blog a few days ago, but it didnt work for some reason, not sure why. something about characters.
well my last post was about the hubby and i getting married in Hawaii. thats right, we got hitched. It was really great. we both agree, we wouldnt have done it any other way.

We were in Hawaii for 2 wonderful long weeks.
Not long enough in my opinion...i could stay there forever. Its such a beautiful place.

We saw a lot of plant life there I didnt know even existed. and everything smelled so good.
Everything looked almost fake. Its just so different from what im used to. Pictures just dont do it justice.

My husband could have taken pictures all day. I found myself sitting down while he finished. But thanks to him we have tuns of really great ones.

itsy bitsy spider...

The day before the beach, David, Joel and I were packing things up and loading up the car when I notice this beautiful spider! now, I don't particularly like spiders! but this one was just so pretty with its yellow, black and white stripes on the legs and spots on its back. This is in our flower garden.

When we got back from the beach, I went over to our veggie garden where we had lots of yummy red tomatoes ready to pick!
While looking around the garden, I noticed a very familiar spider hanging around in there! This time he was much more plump than before! maybe his move to the veggie garden got him better dinners! Im not sure i would want to stumble across him while picking my veggies! Im glad I spotted him before I did that!
I dont think i have ever seen a spider this pretty before in real life! ya know other than TV or something!


When we got home, like I said we had lots of tomatoes ready for us! we were afraid they would rot before we got home, but it looks like they were ready and waiting! Im going to make some home made Bruchetta for sandwiches tonight! yum!! It looks like the rain treated the yard right while we were gone! everything looks so green!

new to the blog :)

Well, I am new to this whole blog thing, but i do enjoy reading them, so i figure maybe id like to post some of my own!
Just came home from a relaxing family vacation at the beach! this is our 2nd year going there! Its the most relaxing vacation iv ever had! just simply relax. Catch some rays, take a nap, swim...
I love the beach! if i could live there I think I would!

Well, its getting late, and now that vacation is over its back to the grind! so im off to bed!
