Momma mandy got out the sidewalk chalk for Malia, what did she do? Draw a master piece? No she stackeded them into a tower, man this girl loves to stack.

Out of this world.......

 

One small step for man ........one giant leap for Ella.......not knowing if the air was safe to breath Ella carefully views her surroundings, testing the surface by removing her socks..... There is strange life forms here but they do seem friendly.

 

With no side effects after removing her socks, Ella decides that it's safe to remove her protective helmet, and breath this planets air. We have to make sure barkleys food and water bowls are empty, Ella loves playing with them.

Criminal minds.......

 

We had one heck of a delicious burger for dinner this evening and it got me thinking..........and this is what I thought, If somewhere in my life I had taken the other path instead of my current path and went down the road with a criminal mind and criminal intent, what kind of criminal would I be? a robber? A con artist? Grand theft auto? Maybe just a white collar criminal? Finally ......after much deliberation I've decided what I would become....it may not be the most profitable, or have the greatest perks but it would be on the top of my list...

Spring growth.....

 

This was a donated jasmine plant soon after it was planted........

Now.....bam.....that jasmine is doing quite well for its self, as well as some transplanted ivy.

Often while out doing some landscaping(on the side), daddy Dave has clients which want plants removed. Sometimes daddy Dave finds new homes for them, in this case the new home happened to be in his front yard. A client had some azaleas removed so daddy Dave re-planted them, they also seem to be doing fine.

Upkeep...

 

Just a couple upkeep pics of the now rented rental. To make it a little more comfortable daddy Dave installed a window unit in the living room, first a 2x4 bracket was built to allow for a secure mounting and easy install of the unit.

After the unit was installed scrap 2x4s were cut and placed above window to prevent someone from opening the window from the outside. It did cool quite nicely.

Next the renter requested some shelving above the washers for storage and etc.

And the shelving installed and ready for storage....

Last but not least, a new motion detector was installed on the back of the house to detour potential trouble makers. The current renters seem to enjoy the house but a good renter is a paying renter, they are quite nice people to say the least.

Quicker picker upper....

 

This little handy device is not found in stores, so here's a sneak peak. The new "Ella swiffer" TM...just wet her shirt and pants or let her (usually does this herself) set her down and let her crawl around, ta da a quicker picker upper........well not so quick, but she's still learning to crawl, so it's more of scoot but better cleaning coverage when her stomach rubs the floor.

Dirt bath....

 

Nope, it's not a pick of any of the local birds taking a dirt bath but our one and only Malia. After breakfast she found her way outside(In her pajamas) and jumped right in to an old pool filled with potting soil. She had fun but soon it was time to clean her off and come back in the house. You may wonder where momma Mandy was, well she was at work for the morning, I bet you guessed she wasn't present.

Double time.....

 

Momma Mandy did a two for one deal here, a buy one get on free ya might say. Being bath time she let both the girls take a bath together two clean girls for the time of one, what a deal. Ella loved chewing on the wash cloth and Malia loved the company.

Pot head........

 

Well these are not the illegal herbs but an assortment of cooking herbs chosen by momma Mandy. Momma mandy had a pot project on her mind and so it began.....

Here's the pots...

Now filled with dirt and stacked....

And the finished project......

Herbs at the door, no need to walk out to the garden just open the door and fresh herbs within reach.

Trip....

Momma mandy and daddy Dave on that trip to the mountains.

Loaded up and ready for the hike just 2 1/2 miles each way 5miles total, with one girl in a carrier and the other walking/stroller.

Off we went, Ella needed a snack momma covered her it was quiet breezy.

At the end of the hike was flat top tower,up we climbed for a 360 degree view ole the mountains.

While we Unloaded Malia stayed warm in daddy's jacket. We had fun, little ol Boone sure has grown.

Mountain trip surprise.........

 

What do we have here well above is a pic of the mountains off the blue ridge parkway not taken by myself but by another photographer. What is the meaning of this pic? well it a surprise for daddy Dave's one and only Momma Mandy and the girls. Ya see a recent project was cancelled leaving an unexpected day open in daddy Dave's schedule, unknown to Momma Mandy. Daddy Dave decided not to tell her and surprise her with a day trip too the mountains. maybe we'll hike and visit the place of engagement possibly, a trip to their favorite old park, or just some sights around their old stomping grounds, maybe some lunch. Right now Momma Mandy has no idea and she won't until she settles down with her cup of coffee and grabs the iPad and pulls up daddy Dave's blog. .............SURPRISE.....................grab your needed apparel.......we're going to the mountains for the day my love.

She's done.......

 

The shaver rental is done diddly done.......with special thanks to my lovely wife for all those late evenings being stuck at home with the girls, and to big ole Mr Marshall for that helping hand and conversation. The new tenets signed the dotted line fri and now have the keys. Below I posted some before and after pics for your enjoyment as well as my own.
