While working on the laundry room Reno I ran in to a problem, while installing junction boxes it was particular hard to mount the junction boxes to the concrete slab. I purchased concrete screws with which you have to predrill then insert the screws this still takes time and often seems like it's going nowhere. Daddy Dave did purchase a new toy to aid with drilling through concrete but this particular tool was a rotary hammer drill. It drills like butter through concrete but was to large to use in the crawl space. After a couple try's with a reg drill daddy Dave could take it no more. If I can't drill up than ill drill down, and so daddy Dave took some measurements and crawled out from under the house back inside and drilled down through the slab. Above you can see a couple of the holes left over from drilling, I'm not worried about the cosmetics of it being this floor will be tile and will not affect the appearance or compromise the strength.
A shot from down under you can see the 2x4's securely mounted to the concret slab. This allowed daddy Dave to secure the new plumbing and electrical lines as well as the junction boxes.
With the installation of new plumbing daddy Dave was sure to add shut off valves and a clean out acces to make future maintance easier.
