While making many frequent trips done the highway with my enclosed trailer in tow I have been noticing the consumption of fuel. With the rising cost of gas, each trip down the road ended up with a trip too the gas store. See my enclosed trailer has a flat nose, some are made with a v-nose to help with the wind resistance, however mine is not. When I travel down the highway it's like running with a parachute.
So after some brain storming of which included making my own air visor and attaching to the roof of the cab to transforming the trailer to be a v-nose. An idea popped into that little brain of mine. Ya see tucked away in the garage was a bed cover being stored. Why not put it back on and ride down the road with it open(only on highway) to help with the wind resistance. This has not been road tested as of yet and daddy Dave is contemplating making a removable brace to help take the stress off the lift springs during trips. A gallon of gas saved is a gallon of milk in the fridge.
