I smell something round.......

 

In this pic barkleys nose is glued to the back of Malias trike, why you may ask? To those who know Malia know she loves to stash barkleys prize possessions(ball), which was tucked into the trunk of the trike.

Gat..............

 

 

Well it's been past due to pick up a little personal protection, the other day while working on a rental a 16 year old took three 45 rounds to the chest just a couple blocks away, needles to say he didn't make it. It was believed to be drug related but not sure. So I picked up this ruger 380, I originally wanted a 9mm or larger but the compact size had its perks. This gun is about the size of a wallet so that concealing is a breeze. I needed something that I could have on my person at all times and not be uncomfortable or a burden. Next step is taking this thing out and run a couple rounds through it and let the old ladie get used to it.

Evening.........

This evening Ella rolled over for the first time in her life.........this girl is on a roll.......get it ....roll.....ok ok.

while Ella was a rolling stone.......Malia was accresorising . She and here daddy were enjoying a little Playdough time, here she is pictured with several braclets and a rather nice necklace I might say. Of course daddy had a little man jewelry on also. Ella ok?........

 

When Ella awoke from a nap in her very own bed/crib she was a little vocal, Malia went to inspect. Malia said "baby so sad".......Ella was just letting us know she was up.

Milk in a bottle....

Here's a pic of Ella's first bottle, she took well to this new concept to mothers dismay(just another step in her baby girl growing up). This will give momma mandy more freedom in the future though.

Cadillac.....

With the arrival of Ella going running was a new challange, momma mandy would have to take one and daddy Dave took the other. With this up grade both girls can ride together elemenating the need for two strollers, here we are pictured heading over to sister #4's home to enjoy dinner with the grandparents.

Rub a dub dub Malia in a ........tub?.......Well what do we have here? momma mandy set Malia up with a sink full of bubbles so she could play, but when momma went into the other room for a brief moment and came back she arrived to see Malia sitting in the sink. Malia said she was taking a bath, silly girl.

Clearing..........

 

Here is a pic of a new Costumers landscaping projecthe hitch daddy Dave was recruited to complete. The clearing of all the brush and small saplings was needed to open the property up. The owners are planing to sell and they wanted the lot to be cleared so potential buyers can see the size of the lot. This pic is actual looking down at the wooded area, the house sits up on a hill.

This is a pic from with in the brush/woods, I started at the back of the lot and slowly worked my way forward towards the house.

While clearing an area along a fence I felt a sharp sting on my arm. Not being too alarmed being there were sticker bushes in these woods, I looked down to see a big fat yellow bee on my arm and of course it was attached by its stinger....mother €#%&$!!!!!! I had stepped in a yellow jacket nest. I drop my brush trimmers and make a bee line out of there .............get it BEE line haha. I was not followed, it may have been attributed to my super fast lighting speed and manuvering ability but who's to say for sure. But I was faced with a new problem in my hast to retreat I had left my trusty tool right atop of the nest....o dang. I contined clearing on the other side of the wooded area to let the angry swarm of bees relax. I then crept as close as I dared with a long stick and picked it up from the safety of a couple of feet(not really that safe but I needed this tool).

When the clearing was done a refreshing down pour ensued, but was well received. Here's a couple pics of the after.

You may ask how did you get the area cleared which housed the yellow jackets. Well when the turenchal rain came those bees hightailed back to the nest I guess they didn't want to get wet. with those winged bullies safe within the warmth of their nest I very quickly completed the task. Why are they called yellow jackets? if they had had a rain jacket on they may have stayed out to play, but I guess this was for the best.

We all know what a French manicure looks like but was does a Greek manicure look like?..........

here Malia shows us.......yep those are black olives, In this instance is it ok to bite your nails? I don't know if I would care for a Greek pedicure though, unless spagetti was involved in some way.

Dangers of running........

 

 

The other day just after in finishing up with a run, me and momma mandy and the girls were enjoying a cool down stroll. There is a section of this particular park which is about 100 to 200 yards away from a busy street this is not normally a factor but this afternoon it was. While walking we her a loud clang(metal striking pavement) and turn to see a saw blade rolling across the ground straight towards us at a high rate of speed. Of course daddy Dave throws himself to the ground directly in harms way to protect the ladies, sacrificing his health, mind, body and soul to be possible cut to the quick. Well I might be over exaggerating, the saw blade actual rolled and stop short of us. It makes for a better story if I had put my health on the line, of course I would have if the need arose. Apparently as a truck drove by this saw blade came off the back of the truck hit the ground and rolled right towards us. This saw blade has made its way into daddy Dave's tool collection, finder keepers losers weepers. It does look to be in pretty decent shape too, it was just kind of odd how it rolled and stopped right at our feet.

Squirrels be gone.........

 

While out the other evening daddy Dave picked up this quick fix for the squirrels which have been feasting upon the bird feed, wasting and not sharing. Well see if this does the trick.

Too much to chew?.........

 

Is it too much to chew or just a mouth full? Time will tell but with the housing market the way it's been momma Mandy and daddy Dave took the plunge and picked up another property.

here's the property in question, it needs a good cleaning and a little maintenance but has potential. It's a 4 bedroom 2 bath, kitchen, living room and dinning room, the location is not to shabby. While out doing some much needed landscaping I had a young man come up to me while carrying his baby he said "I saw someone down here so I thought I'd come by to see if you needed some help, I could use some extra money". This might seem like a nice gesture but let me point out the obvious ......he was high as a kite....I mean HIGH. Not just buzzing but lit like the town square on Christmas eve. This is not the first time this has happened, while out on another property I had another obviously impaired man ask me if I would pay him to cut down a dead tree which was located a foot from the house a 5feet from the power lines. I explained to him that it wasn't just a cut and drop senerio but would have to be topped and brought down in sections. He said "I don't care I'll just drink a beer and climb right up that tree" liquid courage at its finest. Thanks but no thanks, in today's sue happy world that's the last thing I need.

Here's baby Ella's first bath now that shes home, sense Barkley was outside we had to do it the old fashioned way.

 

The black bar is to protect the innocent, but I've got the originals so I can break them out for embarrassing her in the future.
