Here grandpa Anderson hangs out with Ella, or more like Ella hung on grandpas beard.
Just a pic of the gang relaxing.

So momma mandy introduced(duced) the new and improved "Malia's PooPoo chart". Her reward being that after each #2 she would get a sticker and after accumulating 10 stickers she would be able to ride the bus. This is a desire of hers, so we decided we would take some local transportation (bus) and stop off at a ice cream shop and then ride it back.
As seen in the pic above this was a major success, heres were we stand or shall i say sit with the poopoo chart, daddy Dave suspects of a rationing of #2's in order to archive such an accumulation of stickers. Malia has pooped like she never has before. She doesn't even wear a diaper to bed at nap time anymore she holds her urges. This success makes momma Mandy and daddy Dave smile, looks like a bus trip is in the future works.
After closer inspection, or more by accedent I noticed this button mounted in door frame. Shurly not.........a door activated light? But this house was built way back in the day .....I mean way back. This is pretty tech stuff for this house.
Sure enough after installing a light bulb, light was to be had. when ever you opened the door the light automatically comes on .....nice.
One of the last things to do on the rental is to clean and refinish the old cast iron tub. Here you can see the before pic with the cleaner of choice, and a securing pad.
The refinishing kit I have read mixed reviews but well see what happens, you know how daddy Dave loves his spray paint.
Here's the finished product now I just have to wait for the cure time 72hrs-4days.
While working on the rental I try to watch unnecessary spending on supplies by reusing whats already there. Here's An example in the above pic you can see the old ceiling fan, not wanting to scrap a perfectly good dirty, nasty, sticky, cockroach infested fixture. I opted to use a little elbow grease.
And here we have the newly cleaned and spray painted ceiling fan. When the future tents stop by during a recent visit the said "nice you put in a new fan". This process had to de done too three more dirty fans they all turned out just as well, and saved me some green backs in the process.
Fab....this is one of momma Mandy's doings but it is pretty nice, both dogs eat from the bowls with no issues.
Hers her birthday cake decorated with shaun the sheep characters, done up every nicely by her uncle Nate and aunt holly.
She was super excited, she seemed as if she wanted to climb inside. A blast was had by all and to all who had was a blast.
Well I've been trying to get this rental project finished up, this involves some long hours and late nights but its coming along nicely. Next thing on the list of things to do was the floors, they previously had carpet so some clean up was need before painting them. Why paint? You may ask these are some nice hardwoods worth restoring but with the property becoming a rental it's highly unlikely they will take care of them. So to cut the cost of restoring and re restoring after the renters leave ill just clean and paint. This will help protect the floors so if in the future I want too restore them I can.
Here's the floors free of staples, nails, gunk, debris, and dirt. With a quick sanding(pole sander) and walk through(bare foot?) this took most of the day preping the floors.
Here is the finished project after some thick, gloss, oil based paint and the inhaling of a lot of fumes. These floors make you wanna put on a pair of socks and slide, Tom Cruise style(in your undies).
How do you know it's too late?............when every time you go to take a shower you first have to pick up toys out of the shower.......yep there's no going back now. Can't even trade them girls in, but I love em anyway.
We have a house guest here at the anderson homestead, niño is keeping us company. Here Barkley and niño are catching a quick nap after their daily activities tuckered them out. You can see niño retreated to the comfort and familiarity of his crate.
And yet another pic of niño relaxing on Malia, don't be fooled this is not a lazy dog he's just needs a little shut eye in between the chaos. He's being a good boy and barkly enjoys his company wether or not he shows it or not.
While deciding on what to get Malia for her birthday, daddy Dave stumbled across this wooden kitchen set, it did need a little clean up before it was gift ready.
The only time to work on such a project is in the late evening as the girls are tucked snug in bed, but a Couple things were needed to make this work. First..... heat which was supplied with a propane tank.
Second... some bright paint.....
With the appliance set taped and disabled, it was time for paint.
After a second coat and a couple minor fixes here we have the finished product. Malia ready and kid approved, it was a hit among the younger party attendees.
On the actual day of Malias birthday we decided to take her out to dinner, figuring that she wouldn't care too much for the ole Olive Garden (to momma mandys disappointment), we decided to take her to a kid friendly establishment. What more kid friendly place than chuck-e-cheese. Above is a pic upon arrival, she seems to be astonished with all the action going on around her, where do I begin?
The evening was full of games, food and fun, in no time she was throwing some balls at the dragon.
A pic of the dragon...
Malia loved Mr chuck-e, he even brought her out a birthday cake. Her grandparents spoiled her to say the least, she had a Blast.
