The other day daddy Dave was emptying his pockets before bed only to find that one of his keys had broken.This key was too his latest project, of course daddy Dave had spares made but after trying them they wouldn't work. the lock had been re keyed so many times making the key thin and brittle prone to breaking and the new keys just wouldnt work.
How to get in? Daddy Dave had a plan, it was a destructive plan but one which would work. The current knobs and locks needed to be replaced any way so damaging them didn't matter.
First up was a drill bit, the plan was to drill just above the key hole in order to remove the locking levers. next a larger bit big enough in which the guts were removed, then a regular screw driver to turn the lock and were in.
With the door open replacing the hard ware is a breeze. This was done to the front door also, much needed new keys and locks.
