Weedeater repair....

While out working on some Costumers lawns daddy Dave's favorite weedeater started loosing power and bogging down, luckily Dave had a back up and was able to finish the jobs at hand. The back up weedeater was not as powerful as his fav so it needed to be fixed. First daddy Dave needed to find the source of the problem. The trimmer would run but when given gas it would bog down, it would idel fine. So the first suspicion was the air filter after inspection it was replaced. This still didn't solve the problem so next the spark plug was replaced, still no luck.

After cruising the internet, daddy Dave ran across some one with a similar problem, their fix was to remove a clogged emissions screen on the muffeler. Dave removed the screen and it was visably clogged, after a test run the trimmer ran like new. I guess I could clean the screen and reinstall it but if it doesn't affect the performance of the machine why would I.

On to the next repair daddy Dave had another trimmer which would not stay running, luckily he had another trimmer which was the same make i which was running when the trimmer head locked up on it.

After a trip to the trimmer grave yard, for parts plugs and filters etc........ these old trimmers were left on a rental property and for some reason daddy Dave holds on too things of which he thinks he may be able to use in the future, I wonder were he got this from? Pops maybe? Daddy Dave is starting to acquire a pile of junk in the back yard.

The old engine was up and going again, so all daddy Dave had to do was swap trimmer heads. And success now daddy Dave had a powerful back up trimmer.
