The other morning Malia helped her great grandma "Ta Te" were makeing some homemade pumpkin pies for that's night dinner.
A little mixing.....
As the ladies are making pumpkins pie some of the local wildlife was coming up to the house and eating some of the local shrubs. As many as 5-6 or more deer, bucks included would come up with in full view but still cautious.

After a healthy dose of tryptophan Malia persuaded grandpa into her fort....
As the night winded down grandpa intertained the girls with a remote helicopter, they we're fascinated.
The other day daddy Dave was finishing working on some Costumers lawns or actually this time of year some flower beds and tree/ bush trimming. Well the work was done and after packing up the equipment which was used daddy Dave climbed into his truck and took off his safety glasses and ear plugs/ muffs, only to plug in his ipod and select some bass head track( of course after he left the neighborhood not wanting to detour new Costumers ). As he cruised along jamming to an oldie but a Goldie (snoop dogg not to be confused with snoop lion),he relized the hypocrite of his actions. See daddy Dave wears the safety equipment to protect a couple of his 5 senses, but then turns around and ignores the conquenses of playing his music at the decibel in which it's amplified too...........silly daddy Dave .......hey turn that up its my jam.
The other morning while daddy Dave was on his way too work in the wee hours. A aggravating sound came from under neath the hood, after a closer inspection it was determined that the power steering pump was the culprit. It seemed to be not so happy with me maybe it was the extreme cold and it was pissed I had left it out in the garage but I don't think this was the case. Hoping for the best senerio ( just adding fluid) I checked the fluid it was a little frothy, thinking it was low and sucking air I hoped to add some honda approved fluid. After work when I got out into the car the noise was no longer present, after checking the fluid it was fine with no froth? The next day or two still no further sounds or fluid issues, not sure of the root of the problem daddy Dave decided to flush the power steering system as a precaution the fluid looked pretty dirty. After pricing the local shops daddy Dave decided he'd do it himself. First I drained the fluid from the reservoir........
Then I attached a hose to the return line....

Momma mandy tends to be "HANDS" on with our little ladies. Here she has constructed a thankful tree,of which the girls write down something their thankful for on outlines of their hands. Momma Mandy puts then puts them on the wall too eventually form a tree and it's leaves. Momma has to speak for Ella's thanks but Malia is old enough to speak for herself. Here are some of the things she's thankful for............fire, animals, pottys , trees, blankies , cupcakes, stickers, broccoli?( But she won't eat it), daddy Ella and barkly and trick or treating with candy. She came up with these on her own no prompting needed.
With I the tempeture expected to be in the 20es, daddy Dave decided lite a fire in the fireplace. It seems the girls took advantage of daddy lying down and decided to turn daddy into a horsey.
Daddy Dave and momma Mandy took the girls downtown for the annual tree lighting. This was not the tree to be lit just one along the way.
There were street buggy rides...

Ella didn't want to stand still, daddy's Dave had to keep a hold on her.
Finally the tree was lit.....
And fire works lit the sky......
No we're not talking about that back woods produced achohal were talking about a black eye. Ella got her first shiner the other evening, not from Malia but when she lost her footing and hit her head on Malias bed. Those feetsie pajamas just don't have the grip ya need, resulting in a sweet shiner for my little ladie.
Here Malia packed up her sister with baby doll and fake cookie(which Ella is trying to enjoy) and decided to push/pull her around, just pack her up and play.
Another day of working on the rental yielded some progress on new flooring. Here we have one of the bathrooms ready for under lament.
The under lament is laid.....
After enjoying the company and burgers, some stick down tiles were lain. Daddy Dave uses a adhesive in addition to the tiles already having an adhesive. Experience has shown when using cheap tiles adding a adhesive helps keep them in their place.
Here's the finished project, next I need to rehook the toilets and hook up the hot water heater.
Mix it mix it baker woman......
Roll it and pat it and mark it with a B.....
Ready to sit and rise and then off to the oven it goes.
The other evening it was all to quiet in the house..........momma mandy went to inspect. As she went into Ellas bed room she suspected something was up with the closet....
