while finishing up some of the last couple things on the rental I was faced with a poorly installed tub spigot as you can see the hole was too large and rather misshaped. how was one to fix such blunder without incurring major cost and hassle.
solution- daddy Dave cut out a round section from a leftover backsplash (from a previous job) and cut another hole in the middle, like a donut.
this donut shaped piece slide over the spigot covering the butchered job.
some liquid nails was added to the back and the spigot was tightened down to hold it firmly against the existing shower surrounding. Next some caulking is needed to help water proof it and it will be shower ready.
