So ive swam with the maggots, slept with the roaches(roach motel), why not call it a day and dance with some termites. Well it might not look like dinner to you but it sure did to a colony of termites. It seems they have made themselves at home in one of the property's I'm working on. It does look like we may have caught them in time, but it seems they have made a meal out of one of the floor joist.
This is a pic of the disintegrating joist, which will have to be replaced, along with a couple others just to be on the safe side. And of course a call to the orkin man was made. Now is the best time to do this now that daddy Dave has torn out the floors, easy access. Good times and great rentals.

Ugh! I find this buggers out in the garden, under the path boards and in unturned piles of wood mulch, sometimes. Once I found a swarm outside flying around... That was freaky! We called our pest control guy after that one, but fortunately, they were not in the house, just a small swarm outside. I hope you caught this wood munchers before they got too far!
