Repair continued......
Just some more pics of some of the rental work going on. Pic above this exposed wood had seen better days and was causing an interior leak, this needed to be addressed.
so after taking down old wood, reinforcing a rafter and installing new pressure treated wood. Then the abandoned birds nest were removed i guess they were evicted you may say, and the under vinyl was fixed.
next vinyl flashing was installed, all that's left is a piece of drip edge to be installed. Daddy Dave may extend the shingle overhang a bit to help prevent this damage from happening again in the future.
On to the other side.......there was again an exposed area which had seen better days(apologize for the poor pic).
This section was reinforced, refaced, vinyled up and closed up. This was a bit of a challenge being I was higher on the ladder and a wasp was building its nest inside, along with carpenter bees busy at work.
Vinyl siding was add to the underside to match the rest of the exterior. I still need to add a piece of vinyl trim for the bottom corner, and needed to tear off and reroof and shingle this small overhang. There was damage to the roof sheathing caused by the rain water running under the shingles. Also needed o extend overhang and a bit of drip edge installed.
